Stretch film is a universal packaging material that is highly flexible and can stretch and then return to its original state. Due to this property, stretch film is widely used for wrapping cargo on pallets or pallets, ensuring reliable fixation of goods during transportation or storage. The main purpose of the film is to ensure the stability of the cargo on the pallet, preventing its displacement, damage or exposure to external factors such as moisture or dirt.

Due to its properties, stretch film is actively used in various industries and trade. It has the ability to significantly stretch and then compress, which ensures reliable fixation of the cargo on the pallet. This makes stretch film an ideal choice for wrapping heavy and large goods that require special attention during transportation. The strength of this packaging material allows it to withstand mechanical damage, such as punctures or crushing, and high resistance to tears makes it a reliable means of protection against moisture and dirt.

One of the key features of stretch film is its transparency, which greatly simplifies the processes of storing goods and picking orders. Transparent film allows you to quickly identify the contents of the packaged cargo without damaging the wrapper, which reduces the risk of unauthorized access to the goods. In addition, the film creates a dense and deformation-resistant packaging, which prevents accidental or intentional removal of goods from the formed package.

Stretch film also has a number of additional advantages. It is relatively inexpensive, easy to use in manual and automated packaging, and also gives an aesthetic appearance to the finished packaging. Thanks to it, the packaging process becomes faster and more efficient, which is especially important in large-scale production and warehouses, where it is important to optimize time and resources.

Types of stretch film
Stretch film is divided into several categories depending on the method of use:
1. Straight film for manual packaging. It is light and easy to use, allows a person to independently wrap pallets or individual goods without additional equipment. Most suitable for small businesses or warehouses with small volumes of products. 2. Stretch film for machine packaging. It is used on a large industrial scale with the use of pallet wrappers. This solution allows you to quickly and efficiently pack large volumes of cargo on pallets.

In addition, stretch film is classified by parameters such as thickness, roll width and degree of stretching. For example, the standard roll width is 500 mm, and the thickness varies from 12 to 23 microns. The thickness of the film determines its ability to withstand different types of cargo:
- 15-17 microns are used for light and medium-weight goods;
- 20 microns are suitable for heavier items;
- 23 microns are used for particularly heavy cargo, such as building materials.

Benefits of using stretch film
1. Reliable fixation of cargo. Stretch film tightly covers the cargo, ensuring its durability and protecting it from accidental displacement or damage.
2. Protection from external factors. The film creates a barrier against moisture, dust, dirt and other adverse environmental conditions.
3. Cost-effectiveness. Using stretch film allows you to reduce costs for other packaging materials and minimize packaging volumes.
4. Ease of use. The film is easy to apply both manually and using automated equipment, which increases the speed and efficiency of packaging processes.
5. Product safety. Thanks to the transparency of the film, you can easily monitor the condition of the packaged cargo, and the strength of the material protects the goods from theft or damage.

Use in enterprises
In small enterprises, stretch film is used mainly for manual packaging. For this, special dispensers are used that simplify the wrapping process. For large-scale production and warehouses, stretch film is an integral part of automated packaging lines that use pallet wrappers. They allow you to quickly wrap large batches of goods, which significantly increases productivity.

Straight film is one of the most popular materials for packaging goods, its versatility, strength and cost-effectiveness make it an indispensable tool in many industries. It reliably protects goods, facilitates their convenient transportation and storage, reduces costs and simplifies logistics processes.
